Kikuletwa Hotsprings, also known as Maji Moto, and  also called by locals as Chemka or Rundugai Hotsprings. It is a unique phenomenon, an oasis is the middle of nowhere and such a refreshing place. It is the only place in Tanzania, where the groundwater actively interacted with geothermal sources, forming small lakes with warm, never-stagnating water. Hotsprings are located around 2 hours drive from Moshi or Arusha. To reach the spot, you will have to go through an arid desert area. Once you arrive, you will discover a little oasis surrounding by tropical palm trees and impressive roots of big fig trees. The water  is turquoise blue and crystal clear where you can see all the way to the bottom. Enjoy this amazing place and take a refreshing dive. The spring is 7 meters deep in the middle, with a strong current, if needed there are buoys. There is also a rope swing for jumping into the water. This is a perfect daytrip to relax and enjoy the Tanzania’s beauty. It’s definitely worth it.
